Workshop Content

By the end of the workshop, participants should :

Understand why things change.
Understand why we have to change
Understand the nature of change
Understand why change fails and be familiar with some change disaster case studies.
Be aware of organisational change trends since 1980.
Be aware of technological change trends since 1980.
Know how change should be implemented.
Know how to prepare for and equip themselves for change including compiling  ‘My Change Survival Kit’.

 

Pathways Education and Training Solutions offers a one-day practical skills workshop aimed at people already in or about to enter the workforce, whether public or private sector. This new workshop provides the knowledge and skills to help  understand, adapt to, and benefit from organisational and technological change in the workplace and in the community at large.

The workshop would be useful for both employees trying to cope with change and middle managers tasked with implementing change. Whilst implementing and adapting to change is not easy, there are some common characteristics of successful change programs.

Workshop topics include why things change, why we have to change, why change fails, and how change should be implemented. Participants are shown how to prepare and equip themselves for change by compiling a Change Survival Kit.

All Change is facilitated by a qualified teacher and trainer and former middle manager with experience in both government and private organisations. 

Pre-requisites

No previous knowledge of change management theory or practice is required for the workshop although some experience in the workforce (full-time, part-time, or casual) would be useful.
